Healthy skin layers
Skin is not a surface.
It's a structure.

Skin works in layers.
So does the balm.

Your skin has three distinct layers, each doing something different. The outermost holds water in and keeps the world out. Below it, a lipid lattice holds the barrier together. Deeper still, cells renew and rise.

The Six-Seed Treatment Balm was formulated with that structure in mind. Three layers of the balm — one for each layer of the skin it meets. Six seeds distributed across those layers, each chosen for where it works and what it does there.

Not a blend. An architecture.

The architecture

3 layers of balm.
One system.

Each layer of the formula corresponds precisely to a layer of the skin it meets. This is what Skin Architecture means — not a concept invented for the launch, but the method used in the formulation itself.

The skin — 3 layers
01
Stratum corneum

Stratum corneum

The surface

The outermost layer. Holds water in, keeps the world out. When it works, your skin feels comfortable. When it doesn't, everything underneath struggles.

02
Lipid lattice

Lipid lattice

The barrier

Just below the surface — a lattice of lipids, the same fats your skin produces for itself. When intact, water stays where it belongs. When it thins, skin becomes reactive.

03
Upper epidermis

Upper epidermis

The renewal zone

Where new cells form, mature and rise. Rich in essential fatty acids — particularly linoleic acid — that the skin cannot produce itself. It depends entirely on what it is given.

Waxes & butters

Meets the surface

Candelilla wax, illipe, mango and babassu butter give the balm its structure and controlled melt, creating a protective layer that helps reduce moisture loss.

02
Skin-mimicking oils

Skin-mimicking oils

Into the barrier

Squalane, jojoba and sunflower lecithin, structurally familiar to skin. They blend naturally with the lipid barrier and support its integrity.

03
The six seed oils

The six seed oils

Active delivery

Six seed oils, each rich in linoleic acid and chosen for a specific role. Together, they supply essential fatty acids while delivering bakuchiol, astaxanthin and sea buckthorn CO₂.

The six seeds

Six seeds. Each one with its own role.
None of them are here for the label.

Two structural seeds shape the balm's movement and glide. Four active seeds support renewal, protection, resilience and clarity. Together they form the third layer of the balm, the one that works quietly and takes longest to reveal itself.

Delivery Seed 01

Jojoba Oil

Skin-mimicking delivery

Structurally close to the skin's own sebum, jojoba softens the barrier and helps the balm move with the skin instead of sitting heavily on top. The seed that makes the system feel familiar to skin.

Texture Seed 02

Abyssinian Oil

Slip & glide

Long-chain fatty acids, particularly erucic acid, give Abyssinian its exceptional slip. It makes the formula feel effortless on application, with a dry-silk finish instead of a heavy balm residue.

Renewal Seed 03

Cacay Oil

Renewal support

From the Colombian Amazon. Naturally rich in vitamin E, essential fatty acids and retinol-like lipid compounds, cacay supports the skin's renewal rhythm without the aggressive feel often associated with retinoids.

Protection Seed 04

Tomato Seed Oil

Oxidative protection

Cold-pressed from the seed, the part most processes discard. Naturally rich in lycopene and linoleic acid, tomato seed oil helps defend the lipid layer from daily oxidative stress. Quiet protection. Visible resilience.

Resilience Seed 05

Pomegranate Seed Oil

Firmness & resilience

One of nature's richest known sources of punicic acid, a rare omega-5 fatty acid associated with resilience and visible firmness over time. A small percentage. A contribution that is not small.

Clarity Seed 06

Rosehip CO₂

Clarity & refinement

Cold CO₂ extracted to preserve delicate carotenoids, tocopherols and naturally occurring antioxidant compounds. Supports clarity, tone and surface refinement over time. Present at a meaningful dose, not a trace, not a label ingredient.
