AUREN Botanicals — Returns & Refunds Policy
This policy explains your legal right of withdrawal when you buy the Six Seed Balm from aurenbotanicals.com, and how it applies to a sealed cosmetic product.
1. Your right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer within the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving any reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) as implemented in Dutch law.
The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you (or a third party you nominated, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the product.
2. The hygiene exception
Because the Six Seed Balm is a cosmetic product, the right of withdrawal no longer applies once the jar's seal has been broken after delivery. This is a statutory exception (Article 16(e) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive; Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code) for goods that are sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons.
In practice, this means:
- If your jar arrives with its seal intact and you return it unopened within the 14-day period, you are entitled to a full refund of the product price.
- If the seal has been broken, the product cannot be returned or refunded under the right of withdrawal, even if the 14-day period has not yet passed.
This does not affect your separate statutory rights if the product is faulty or not as described — see Section 6 below.
3. How to withdraw
To exercise your right of withdrawal, tell us clearly before the deadline expires. You can do this by:
- Email hello@aurenbotanicals.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. You do not need to provide a reason, but we would appreciate hearing why you are returning the product, as your feedback helps us improve. We will send you an acknowledgement of receipt.
4. Returning the product
Once you have notified us of withdrawal, please return the product to us within 14 days, in its original, unopened, sealed condition, in its original packaging where possible. Unless we have agreed otherwise, you bear the direct cost of returning the product. We recommend using a tracked shipping method, as you remain responsible for the product until it reaches us.

5. Refunds
We will refund the price you paid for the product, using the same payment method you used for the original order and without additional fees, within 14 days of:
- the day we receive the returned product, or
- the day you provide proof that you have sent the product back , whichever is earlier. We may withhold the refund until we have received the product back or you have supplied evidence of return shipment.
Original delivery costs are refunded up to the amount of our standard delivery option; if you chose a more expensive delivery method, we will not refund the difference.
6. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or different from what you ordered, this is not covered by the withdrawal right above but by your statutory conformity rights — see Section 9 of our Terms and Conditions. Contact us at hello@aurenbotanicals.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and where possible a photo, and we will put things right.
